Animal Matter to Me is a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare and protection of animals, founded in 2010 in Madh-Malad, Mumbai, by Mr. Ganesh Nayak. Driven by a deep commitment to animal welfare, Mr. Nayak has been actively involved in rescue and rehabilitation work since 2008. Over the years, Animal Matter to Me has grown significantly in its mission to provide shelter, medical care, and protection for animals in need.
Our organization currently operates an animal hospital in Madh, Mumbai, where we treat injured, sick, and abandoned animals, offering essential medical support and rehabilitation services. Additionally, we manage a large animal sanctuary in Vitthalvadi village near Kolad, in Maharashtra’s scenic Raigad district. This sanctuary serves as a peaceful haven where rescued animals can recover and live safely in a natural, nurturing environment.
Our sanctuary is home to a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, cows, pigs, goats, rabbits, geese, hens, and many others, all of whom have been rescued from difficult or abusive situations. Here, our dedicated team provides them with comprehensive care, including veterinary attention, proper nutrition, and a compassionate environment that allows each animal to thrive. Through our work, Animal Matter to Me not only safeguards these animals but also raises awareness in the community about the importance of compassion and humane treatment towards all living beings.
