Kalu, a black Domestic Short Hair (DSH) cat, was found in a heartbreaking state with a severe maggot wound on his main body. Despite receiving urgent care at AMTM and fighting with quiet strength, Kalu sadly passed away on 04/04/2025. His final days were filled with love, safety, and dignity.
Maggot wounds can rapidly destroy tissue and lead to fatal infections if not treated immediately. Kalu underwent intensive wound cleaning, antibiotic therapy, and constant medical monitoring. Though his body couldn’t recover, he was surrounded by gentle hands and compassionate care till his last breath.
Your support ensured Kalu didn’t suffer alone. He was seen, held, and cared for — with every effort made to ease his pain. His life mattered, and his memory will live on through the kindness shown to him.
