Left behind in the hands of a caretaker who didn’t care, Monto was confined to a cramped enclosure, alone and neglected for nearly a year. No sunlight. No walks. No voice.

When rescued, Monto was withdrawn and stiff, carrying the weight of betrayal. But under AMTM’s care, he’s slowly beginning to trust again. Veterinary care and gentle handling are helping him recover — one moment at a time.
