Call our helpline on +91 99207 37737. We answer seven days a week. Tell us exactly where the animal is, what you can see, and whether it is moving. If it is safe to do so, stay nearby until the ambulance arrives. Animals move, and a found animal that has wandered off is a lost animal.

Keep your distance unless the animal is calm and lets you approach. An animal in pain will bite even if it knows you. Do not give food, water or medicine to an animal that may need surgery. Do not try to move a suspected spinal or fracture case yourself.

No. Rescue and emergency treatment for street animals are free.

Our ambulance covers Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra. If you are further away, call us anyway and we will try to connect you with a rescue group nearer to you.

We work with SARRP India and the Forest Department on snakes, birds and other wild animals found in distress. Call the helpline and we will route it correctly.

Yes, for Indian taxpayers, under Section 80G. Enter your PAN when you give and your 80G receipt is issued automatically from the AMTM Rescue Hub.

A Guardian gives every month. It is the single most useful way to support this work, because it lets us plan: keep vets on payroll, keep the ambulance fuelled, and say yes to an emergency without checking the balance first. You can change or cancel a Guardian gift at any time.

Yes. Every animal in our care has a page on the Rescue Hub with what was wrong, what we did, and how they are doing. You can give directly to that animal's treatment.

Surplus from a fully funded case goes to the animal feeding programme at the sanctuary. Nothing is returned to general funds quietly, and nothing is held back.

Yes. Animal Matter To Me holds FCRA registration and can receive foreign contributions into its designated FCRA account. Choose the non-resident option when you give, or write to getinvolved@amtmindia.org and we will route it correctly.

Yes. Food, medicines, towels, bowls, blankets, building materials. Write to us first and we will tell you what is most needed right now, so nothing goes to waste.

Every animal leaves us vaccinated, sterilised and medically cleared, and we stay in touch afterwards for as long as you need us.

No. There is no adoption fee, and there never has been. Every animal leaves us vaccinated, sterilised and medically cleared at no cost to you.

Yes, always. We visit before an adoption is approved, not to judge your home, but to see how the animal will actually live in it. It is a conversation, not an inspection.

Yes, with one condition: the adoption has to come through a referral, because we cannot do a first home visit at that distance. After the animal goes home we stay in touch for a year, checking in over video call.

Yes. Indies adapt well to apartment life given daily walks and company. What matters far more than square footage is whether someone is home enough of the time and whether your building is settled about animals.

The animal comes back to us. No questions asked, no time limit, no judgement. We would far rather have them back than have them passed on to someone we have not met.

Yes. Some animals are too young, too small or too fragile for a shelter environment. We provide food, medicine and guidance; you provide the space and the care.

No. Every volunteer gets a full orientation on animal handling and safety before going near an animal. You need a day and a willingness to be useful.

Yes, by appointment. Write to getinvolved@amtmindia.org and we will arrange a guided walk through the hillside and show you the new sanctuary hospital. Wear closed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty; there is no shade on the hillside, so bring water and a hat.

Yes. Both the sanctuary and Junglebrooke next door are open to animals. It is animal first, here.
