Document requests and staying in touch
When you request a document, we collect your email address, phone number, selected reason and the name of the document. Our team uses these details to handle your request. Requests are processed through our website hosting provider, Netlify, and sent to our team by email.
You can separately choose to receive follow-up by email or phone about AMTM’s work, donations and ways to get involved. This choice is optional and does not affect access to documents. To stop receiving these messages or ask about your information, email ganesh@amtmindia.org.
This policy explains what personal information Animal Matter To Me collects through amtmindia.org, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Animal Matter To Me is a public charitable trust registered in Mumbai (Registration No. F-41718).
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. When you fill in an enquiry form on this site, whether to volunteer, foster, sponsor an animal, apply for an internship, arrange corporate volunteering, or write to us, we collect your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number and city, along with the message you write and the page you submitted from.
Our web host records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is generated automatically by the server and is used to keep the site running and secure.
What we do not collect here
No donation is processed on this website. Every giving link takes you to our Rescue Hub at rescuehub.amtmindia.org, where payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, bank, or UPI details on this site. Donations made on the Rescue Hub are covered by the privacy policy published there.
Why we collect it
We use what you send us to reply to you, to process a volunteer, foster, or adoption enquiry, to send you information you asked for, and to keep a record of the enquiry so that the right person at AMTM can follow up. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Where it is stored
Enquiry form submissions are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. The website itself is hosted by Netlify. Both providers hold data on servers outside India. By submitting a form you consent to your information being stored and processed in this way.
Who can see it
Access is limited to AMTM staff and trustees who need it to respond to you, and to Reflections Creative Media, the agency that maintains this website on our behalf. We may disclose information where we are required to by law, by a court, or by a regulatory authority.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as they are useful to the relationship, and in line with our record keeping obligations as a registered trust. If you ask us to delete your record and we are not required to retain it, we will.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated to say what is collected and how you can opt out.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to us contacting you. Write to getinvolved@amtmindia.org and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Children
This site is not directed at children. Volunteers under the age of eighteen are welcome at AMTM when accompanied by a parent or guardian, and in that case we ask the parent or guardian to make the enquiry.

This site links out to the Rescue Hub, to social media platforms, and occasionally to news coverage. Once you leave amtmindia.org, the privacy policy of that site applies, not ours.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
