Sanctuary & Rehabilitation
The sanctuary at Kolad is cageless. Animals live in open enclosures, not in kennels or on chains. They have shade, water, and the company of other animals.
Most of the residents are dogs who recovered from illness or injury but cannot go back to the street: dogs who are blind, dogs who lost a limb, dogs who are too old or too frightened to survive on their own.
Some are animals who were abandoned by their owners and brought to us. They stay for the rest of their lives.

Rescue
Our team answers calls seven days a week across Mumbai. When an animal is injured, trapped, poisoned or abandoned, an ambulance goes out. No animal that reaches us is ever refused.
Medical Treatment
Our hospital in Malad treats sick and injured street animals every day: surgery, intensive care, diagnostics, pathology. Treatment is subsidised, so no animal is turned away for want of money.

Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release. Our sterilisation and vaccination programme reduces the number of animals born onto the streets and keeps rabies out of the communities they live in.
